Alexander Nemser is a writer, poet, facilitator, and performer based in Los Angeles.

In his words: “My desire to practice dreamwork with others arises out of the deep gratitude I feel for the impact of dreams and dreamwork in my own life. After many years of psychotherapy, Buddhist meditation, Jewish prayer, 12-Step Recovery, Artist’s Way, and various other modes of seeking, I find the dreams offer me healing, guidance, and bedazzlement I get nowhere else. I feel reverence for their irreverence, touched by the specificity of their care, and humbled by their unflagging emphasis on letting go of intellectual cover stories to live fully flush with each moment.”

Alexander has been practicing mindfulness meditation for over a decade. In 2023, he completed the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield and was mentored by Jill Satterfield.

He has offered workshops on creative spirituality with Lab/Shul, the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles, the Council of American Jewish Museums, the Silverlake Independent JCC, Songleader Boot Camp, and NewCAJE, and other institutions.

His work as a writer has been published in The New York Times, The Atlantic Monthly, and The Paris Review. To learn more about his creative work, visit his Substack here.

He has a BA from Yale University and received a Marshall Scholarship to complete an MPhil at Oxford University.
