Dreams as a Place to Return To

In Natural Dreamwork, we step into our dreams to experience them fully. The presence we bring to one another as we explore our dreams helps us to move into moments of deep feeling -- those that lift us up, as well as those that seem more difficult. In my discussion with  Katherine Bell on The Dream  Journal  we talked about what it means to be present to one another as we share dreams and how dreams help us move through suffering. I spoke of the  weather we bring to dreams -- our moods, conditioned beliefs and altered perceptions -- that sometimes shape how we respond in dreams, as well as the difference between suffering and trauma. I shared several dreams of my own, and some of the meanings that have unfolded as I returned to them over time.  I am grateful to Katherine for her thoughtful questions and for the generous space she offered for real conversation .
